MEN CAN CRY TOO by MAAK
We live in a society where men are painted as strong. We live in the age of feminism, yet as soon as a man breaks down, we do not spare a second before catcalling him. In this patriarchal society, our upbringing has taught us that since men have to protect their families, they are supposed to be strong. This idea, if not consciously but in a subliminal way, has taught us that men lack emotions or the freedom to express them. Men from a very tender age often learn to suppress certain emotions as they are told not to cry in front of someone else, and the now famous “strong boys don’t cry!”
