The designers have created a collection of detachable gowns using yellow gold of wheat and green of the earth. This evening wear collection is created using delicate fabrics like organza and silk with sheer embroideries and unconventional beadings. Sanskrit is a beautiful, powerful, resonating language, with a structure and richness not found within most modern languages. Sanskrit the language of Hindu Celestial Gods, Indo-Aryans and base of most languages is an extraordinarily complex language with a vast vocabulary. It has a major impact on Indian languages but is now unremembered and only used today in the reading of sacred texts and hymns. Our next men’s wear designers have taken inspiration from this ancient language and used the Sanskrit shlokas as impression on the garments. The ethnic wear collection consist of coffee dyeing in hues of brown with bandh galas and straight silhouette which will give you the true essence of Vedic enchants and dharma.

The desire for self-expressing afflicts people when they feel there is something of themselves which is not getting through to the outside world. Self-expression is a display of individuality whether it’s through words, clothing, hairstyle, or art forms such as tattoo. Tattooing as an art form is flourishing, and is viewed as a way to express individuality through personal choice. While some people carry very negative opinions of tattoos, the artistry has become very common in all cultures. But what is now a fashion statement first emerged as a means of branding. Taking inspiration from beauty of tribal tattoos the designers have created beach wear collection using tattoo motifs, giving the impression of the wearer actually being tattooed themselves. O dear Padmini, Mumbai’s iconic kaali peeli taxi named after legendary Indian queen, was synonymous with Mumbai for half a century will soon embark on their final journey. The new wave of private cabs have made historic kaali peelis seem outdated and clunky. The designers took the compact black and yellow cabs as their inspiration and turned it into high street fashion couture. The designs are youthful, fun and rejuvenating which elevates luminous energy. Jackets with prints of street signs yells “shop” instead of “stop”. The colors of taxi used at symbolic level with accessories and trims inspired by traffic signals, the collection represents the feel of Mumbai’s rich glory.

It is often portrayed as illicit dungeons, where exotic women are stored for personal use. However the reality of Harem is very different. Bringing light to the reality of harem where women were educated in all areas and had high standards of living, the designers’ of the next collection have created cocktail outfits which is a royal looking joy. The collection is designed for women who choose to style themselves differently, with high heels and metallic dresses. There are brocade jackets with golden drapes, dresses and velvet capes. The collection is inspired by men’s shirt which says gender equality without using words. Architecture, and the social aspect which surround it, take center stage as points of reference with clean lines and geometric creation for the designers. The collection echo the lines, texture and volumes seen in roof, by carefully layering simple form to create a composite, elaborate look. As they cannot speak for themselves… That is why we as humans, need to talk & expose their injustice by other fellow humans.
The Designer says that she will never use skins (or any animal product), to exploit them in the name of fashion. That is a promise she makes today & for always. The collection is a humble contribution to the conservation of the tiger species by Chhaya Gandhi
