About University of the Arts London

University of the Arts London (UAL) is a collegiate education institution of higher education in London City. UAL was originally known as the London Institute when it was founded in 1986 as a federation of independent colleges. It was granted degree-awarding authority by the Privy Council in 1988. After receiving university status in 2003, UAL adopted its current name in 2004.

Based on the QS World University Rankings for 2021, UAL ranks second in Art and Design. 

University of the Arts London operates its schools at six locations in London, each offering academic, residential, and recreational amenities. International students are offered evening foreign language classes and English language classes at the Language Centre. A variety of food and beverage options are available at the campus’ multiple cafes and canteens. Here, you will find nine art stores which sell fashion, design, and art supplies. Various exhibitions and events are held in the university’s seven professional galleries. 

In addition to the medical centre on campus, the university has a library, printing facilities, computers, and resources for laminating and binding. In addition to counselling services, UAL also offers chaplaincy services. As part of its residential program, the university also maintains 13 dormitory-style residence halls situated in different areas of the city. In addition, the organisation provides support to those who rent rooms privately.

The University of the Arts London offers undergraduate and graduate programs as well as doctoral degrees through six schools. This degree program provides specialisation in several areas of the arts, including performing arts, design, and fashion. In addition to the degree program, the university offers short courses in 18 subjects. Here, the student body consists of 18,000 students from 130 different countries; 3,000 of those are international students. UAL has an internationally diverse community.

There is a highly qualified learning support team and a librarian at every UAL school, dedicated to ensuring high-quality teaching and teaching outcomes along with personal and professional development. 

Study-abroad opportunities at the university are available under the Erasmus+ program to facilitate students’ learning within their subjects and to provide them with a global exposure. Additionally, UAL collaborates with numerous international companies and organisations, which provide students with training opportunities.

There is a wide range of courses available in art, design, screen, communication, fashion, media and performing arts under Pre-degree, undergraduate, and postgraduate courses. UAL offers a wide range of courses and subjects from expert tutors.
